Psychedelic 60s design

Organic shapes, round curves and space travel!

There is something equally modernistic and psychedelic about the forms and the angles of the 60s design.

It was the age of soft drugs, mind exploration and the first Moon expeditions. Architecture, furniture and home accessories of that time were often inspired with the shape of the astronaut's helmet and had this subtle sci-fi feeling about them. What a wonderfully creative decade that was! That is mainly due to the impressive work of designers such as: Panton, Eero Aarnio, Joe Colombo, Gaetano Pesce and Archizoom. Time has passed, but their ideas haven't aged at all! Because icons are universal.

RBG Pictures - The Art Of Illusion

Carnovsky - RGB project
.
Carnovsky experiments with graphic images and light. He produces large scale artworks in 3 colours: red, green and blue. He puts overlaping images on 3 layers. It looks impressive, bright and fresh. Then he turns on green light in the room and so the green contours dissapear from his pictures. You start to see the work differently. Something new emerges, something else gets hidden. The same thing happens with blue and red lights. Magic? Illusion!
.
The artist's work refers to op-art and is its modern representation. It has been so popular that it sprang out of galleries and poped into shops. Carnovsky developed a range of edgy products: wallpapers, i-phone and laptop skins, fabrics and prints. You can buy his tiny picture, hang it on your wall, put different colour bulbs and your lamp to see how the image changes. If you only fancy this kind of experiments Carnovsky will make your day. His other projects are personalised radiators and handbags.

The Anatomy Of A Toy

Creepy Toys Design - Jason Freeny
Jason Freeny is famous for creating dissected models of famous toys and childrens' fictional icons. He has already shown us the guts and bones of Mickey Mouse, Barbie, Sackman and many others. Now he has disclosed what Lego Men's intestins, liver and skeletone look like. If you are interested in alternative anatomy-learning methods - this might be something for you. Freeny's projects generate different feelings: from laughter to disguist. I'm not sure what message he is trying to put across, but his toys are for sure a statement of originality. As they are hugely popular among collectors, perhaps you'll be interested in buying one? Hand-made, one of a kind models are available for approximately £1000, but the prices for his 6cm-tall limited edition figurines start from £8. What begun 5 years ago as Jason's funny artistic project, transformed into a brand with a big commercial potential.

One-Eyed Dog

Graphic Design
Threadless Submission
Me
.
.
Guys, please, vote on my T-shirt on Threadless by clicking here:
.
Green Dog - Threadless T-shirts, Nude No More
.
If people don't show acceptance for this marvelous one-eyed design in a few days, it will be rejected and thrown away. I fear it might happen because of Christmass time and few people voting. However I don't want to use you, either. So feel free to vote or not. I will be truly grateful for every single person clicking "I like it". And every single person liking it as well.
.
I feel particularly connected to this project, as it shows my dog from my childhood, but in green and with one eye. I really loved my dog, however I was a cruel and often thoughtless child and I feel sorry for this. I would love my dog back, but she is gone. However I might have dogs in the future. I'm thinking of becoming a loving dog couch and repenting for bad actions from the past.
